If we are aware that there is a sum of 45,000 negative thought are happening on daily basis in our minds, imagine how much power we give toward them, regardless of how many are being added from the whispers of others, forgetting that this is the norm of our survival mode patterns to keep us safe. Despite the survival mechanism is stated to activate the sympathetic nervous system that engages the body of fight, flight, freeze, faint or fawn which reflect itself on how we see the world around us, our interactions with one another and the vicious cycle goes on and on...
If we could see this image of more toxic thoughts are being poured into our ears, which triggers emotions/ feelings, the consequence the body language change, tone of voice, and facial expression, and that is how the body builds these defense mechanisms to protect itself. Imagine your experiences in life are not easy ones, through this history there is a neurochemical change happened, impacting gradually your physical state, putting the person under the cycle of toxic stress. Leading the person to illnesses and dis-ease. By looking at this simple image we can try to figure out how much our thoughts can affect our health badly, leaving us in pain. Seeking a pain-free state through distractions, no matter what the distractions could be, the person is controlled by the reactive body, the defensive nervous system, the stressed gut that make the perfect storm to mess your entire system and your immune system become compromised which leads to a higher level of inflammation and chronic illness, anxiety, depression, losing hope in having a normal life.
if we understand the power of thought on overall health, if we value our presence as humans on this earth, if we honor this holy temple that is our body, we have to start understanding why you give power to all this negative thought to rule over your mind, body, health and as a result of the reality, you may have as an outcome of this empowering to negative thinking. Negative thinking is the norm, surrendering to it is not the norm. So, you have to ask yourself are you equipping yourself to assess whether the situation you are in is a treat or not, or is my brain is trying to protect me by activating all the threat signals? Do I understand what is the baseline of the person and what is off the baseline? the frequencies, the triggers, the antecedent, the modulators or mediators? keeping an observant eye and retraining your brain on identifying the difference is the message in between. The moment between true alarm and the false alarm is the incremental change in behavior between the baseline and the antecedent.
In order to bring yourself to this state of self-awareness, the other, the environment, triggers, and the outcomes, you may start to recognize that not all events are forming a threat, so calming your tiger is your own responsibility, not others. It requires lots of work to be done, few are dedicated to putting the effort, the time, and the attention to bring their body to homeostasis rest/digest/detox, and heal. The work is not easy, still, it can be done, it takes time, it requires commitment and faith that all things work for good for those who love Him. His word never fails. You may go through detours, failures, lots of unanswered questions, confusion, ambiguity and you wonder what is the message in this? You try to be the investigator to find out the truth of all of this, yet, you go in circles and the pattern is repeated itself over and over... Will it is a waste, or just give up and change direction or keep on searching and who knows you may come to a whole new understanding of the journey you are on? Breaking fears doubts and unknowing may seem scary and still, the journey goes on... By: ME" the old ancient woman"
